Drop it Like it's Hot

I've decided that I want to lose weight. I gained 32 pounds while pregnant with Peyton, lost 3o of those pounds by my 6 week postpartum appointment, and have gained back 10ish upon returning to school. Ideally, I would LOVE to lose 25 pounds, but I would be happy to drop 15 or so. I would like to contribute the weight gain to school, but it probably has more to do with the crazy sweet tooth and ferocious appetite that didn't leave with the pregnancy. The final straw was when I started to outgrow my "fat" pants, which is a girl's worst nightmare.

I keep saying I'm going to eat healthier and start exercising again, but I also keep putting it off....so here goes. Hopefully by keeping track of my weekly goals here I will feel a little more accountable.

Starting this Sunday, I'm going to have a weekly weigh-in. My goal is to lose 1-2 pounds per week. At that rate, I will reach the lower threshold of the realistic goal by my birthday....and if I continue, I will have lost 25 by Peyton's first birthday. Wish me luck!!!

  1. While I dont think you need to loose weight because you look amazing...good luck and I am here for support (b/c I know I will be there too once this kid pops out!)! Let us know how you are doing it too!

  2. I, too, think you looked great when I was last in Texas! It seemed like you just popped back to your previous weight. However, I...being your Grandmother...know how difficult it is to keep off those pounds that make YOU feel uncomfortable in your own skin...never mind what anyone else says. I'm all for your "take charge" attitude in beginning this beautiful blog. Maybe you will inspire me, too! I love you. Best of Luck!

  3. Your mum and I are trying to figure out how she can post here, so this is a test post.

  5. Finally....remember your Mum is computer challenged. You look great, but I understand the need to be thinner. I'm trying to eat healthier myself, but seems I can only do it for a week at a time. You are stronger than I am, so I'm sure you will succeed to any goal you want!
